Lars joined the military following his time in school. He served nine months of military basic service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment within the Danish army. It wasn't the best choice to do, so he sought out something different after completing it and decided then to study biology. Anette who had been working for the military for a year, came home from a class for jugglers to show Lars how she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was very pleased with this and was eager to try it. So, he dropped out college and attended the juggler school. There he learnt the art of juggling and fire breathing, along with other skills. He then traveled along with two of his fellow students throughout Europe as touring artists, performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. He was introduced to a circus for children the following year and was able to master both street and children's theatre as and pantomime.
