Vinita Nair

In July of 2004, she joined the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of stories. These included investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed as a reporter for ABC News in December 2007 as an anchor and correspondent for ABC News Now. As a reporter, she anchored live stories and briefs for ABC's digital channel. Nair was co-anchoring World News Now on ABC from September 17, 2008. until the 18th of February, 2011, as well as America This Morning. For both of the shows, Nair was initially paired by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday the 18th of February. The same day would also mark her last day with ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor for KDVR Denver, was her direct successor. In the February 18 issue of World News Now paid tribute to Nair throughout its three segments. It also featured appearances by former and current coworkers, such as Jeremy Hubbard. She treated the crew to breakfast that was hot in her final day. Vinita Vinita Vinita Vinita
