Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne W. Burrell is the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and environment. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't seem to get enough out of it. When I graduated of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact on her culinary point of view. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne in all her culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to be able to share this love of the food industry with people.
