Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out in the form of an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina later won a Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011, and as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003 and was the winner of an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA career in 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova in the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO, and then won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She made her return against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous vote, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina received an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first fight. Antonina rebounded from the defeat, and won Lucie Prudilova at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
